October Goals

I'm not even recapping September. I'm just pretending like the entire month didn't exist. It happens.

I'm also lumping yesterday in with September. Only I can't pretend like it didn't happen until I get the damage to my car fixed. Rude.

So, moving on.

October. The first month in my favorite stretch of the year. Fall / Christmas is my jam. It's when I come alive. Summer, sun, heat, humidity...you can keep it. Give me crisp fall days and changing leaves, giving way to Christmas (which begins AFTER Thanksgiving, people...not before; you'll be hearing me complain about this a lot in the coming months), and I thrive. Maybe it's the mountain girl in me. Or maybe it's just that I really, really hate summer. Either way, October, November, and December are crucial to my survival.

October Goals

::Something New::
Something. Anything. To be determined.
::MEXICO::
9 DAYS 'TIL MEXICO. Single digits make me happy.
::BEAT FLORIDA::
Please. (Even though, technically, this goal is out of my hands
since I have absolutely nothing to do with making it happen)
::No Hate Reading::
I seriously need to stop this. I have cut way back, but
I just need to stop it all together. It makes for much
happier days when I choose to only read blogs and
tweets that do not enrage me.
::Fall Decorating::
I have moved the tote of decorates from storage to my living
room, so that's a start. (Coming as a surprise to no one,
I store decorations in totes, color-coded to the corresponding
holiday.)
::Two New Recipes::
Because food is delicious. Chance they both include cheese? 100%.
::Christmas Shopping / Card List::
It's that time of the year again to sit down and make out my
shopping and card list for Christmas. (Please note that shopping
for others before Thanksgiving is okay; putting up a tree and/or displaying
wrapped gifts before is not.)

What are your October goals?
