Fall TV: It's Back!

See the title? It's a title about Fall without the words: "Falling Into..." It's possible to do this, but so many haven't seemed to figure that out yet.

Moving on.

Fall begins my favorite time of year. From October to December, I thrive. While there are many reasons I love it, I'd be lying if I said Fall TV wasn't right up there in my top three.

Fall Premieres I Am Most Excited About (in no particular order):

Gossip Girl
t's the last season of my beloved GG and I can't talk about it without getting emotional. All I know is there better be a wedding of the Waldorf / Bass variety. A world without a Chuck + Blair is not a world in which I want to live.

Grey's Anatomy
I've been a Grey's loyalist since the beginning. While I feel like it took a bit of a downward turn in the last two seasons, it started picking back up before last year's season finale. I'm ready to see what happens next. (I'd also like to note that I record on Thursdays and watch on Sundays...the *original* Grey's night)

Big Bang Theory
Only four words are necessary here: I. LOVE. SHELDON. COOPER.

Private Practice
I'm usually not a huge fan of spin offs, but this is one I love. I think it's a combination of my love for Grey's and my love for Kate Walsh's perfume, Boyfriend. Also, there's a lot of wine drinking on the show. I approve of that in any situation.

Glee
I have mixed feelings about this show. The acting is terrible, the story lines are worse. But there's show-style music. And mash ups. And Britney S. Pears. And Emma Pillsbury's wardrobe. And now, Kate Hudson.

Revenge
OBSESSED. I think this is the one I am most looking forward to. I could do an entire post on nothing but this show. I cannot get over how last season ended. Do you watch this show? If so, email me. We need to talk.

Hart of Dixie
This is my shameful secret. I don't want to like it. I don't want to watch it. The acting is terrible. Rachel Bilson is meh. But, for some reason, I just can't stop.

Law & Order: SVU
This is a show I could watch for hours. Oh wait. I do. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, when I see one of the many SVU marathons running on TV, I will stop everything and watch all.day.long. It isn't the same without Stabler, though, and I'm quickly fading on the new episodes. I will give it another go this season, though. Especially based on the previews I've seen so far.

American Horror Story
I really only started getting into this the last few episodes of last season, but after catching up on it from the beginning On Demand, I'm ready for this season. It's weird. It's dark. It's not my typical show, but I love it all the same.

What are your FALL TV favorites?

  1. I canNOT wait for Revenge to back on!! I've missed that damn show. Hopefully, the producers won't space each episode out a month in between like they did the first season.

  5. --Gossip Girl--
has been my "embarrassed to admit but love it in not so secret show".

Last season was ugh! Marry a prince, loose a baby and a father comes back from the dead -PLEASE- not to mention horrid hair and makeup. I know the show employs professional stylists to do the hair and makeup so WHY did it look so FLAT and unkempt season 5?
    :(
but bz of the strong season one and two I have been hooked good.

    I guess "modern family"?

  7. Yes, yes, yes!! Minus the last two, all of those have been safely programmed into my dvr. Gossip Girl-- I will be devastated without a Blair-Chuck union, the series cannot end without it. I'm also an original Grey's fan (I remember thinking "it's too early for sleep ill watch the premiere of this new doctor show on after Alias") and battled through some seasons knowing it had to return to its glory (which, Lexie id dead, I still cannot). BUT, Revenge is arguably my favorite show. I'm so ready for it on Sunday, so much drama in the last few seconds of the finale- I need to know what happens!
