Throwback Thursday: Kid's Today Will Never...

I was driving somewhere the other day when I had an idea for a blog post that had me all kinds of excited. Why? Because I'm a nerd. A nerd who loves the 80s and early 90s.

I have WAY too many post ideas to cram them all into one, so until further notice, I am bringing you...

Throwback Thursdays.

My excitement is out of control. So without further pomp and circumstance, I present to you this, the first installment of Throwback Thursday: Kids Today Will Never...

...Know what it's like to be Joey Joe's Popsicle or Donnie Wahlberg's Cover Girl

...Know the excitement of calling a radio station to request a song, followed by the anxiety of hitting record on the cassette at the *exact* moment it comes on...and then praying the deejay doesn't talk over the end of it.

...Have a favorite Corey

...Experience the joy of the clear, light-up-when-it-rings phone

...Know Kevin and Winnie

...Struggle with keeping the Barbie town house elevator on it's track...or have to get Barbie's head or legs unstuck from the tragic de-railing.

...Feel the rush of relief to see this roll into the classroom

...Spend Wednesday nights with the ORIGINAL gang in the 90210

...Play Heads Up, Seven Up

...Spend their summers with Sun-In hair

  1. I love all of these things. I wasn't a big Corey Haim/Feldman fan though. Bad boys weren't my thing in my tweens.

  2. I loved every bit of those things. Well except the Barbie house as I never had one. :(
