Saturdays in the South: Game Day is Here!

It's Thursday! And that means two things:
  1) College football officially kicks off tonight!!
  2) Today is the first ever Saturdays in the South link-up!

My Bulldogs will be taking on Boise State in the Georgia Dome Saturday night. I'm a little sad that I won't be tailgating in Athens for the first game of the season, but I can't say that I'm going to miss being in the sweltering heat all day.

Since I won't be tailgating this weekend, I don't have a menu to share and there aren't any photos since it's the first game of the year, so this week I'm just going to share my game day dress with promises of better posts in the coming weeks.

I've decided to wear a Judith March dress I purchased last fall, but never wore. I'm still trying to decide on shoes and accessories...it's such a big decision, y'all!

Saturdays in the South

It's time, ladies! We are within a week of kickoff! The next 12 weeks will be spent gearing up for Game Days - from planning the tailgate menu/decorations, to travel plans and Game Day outfits.

Game Day Dresses: Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A+M

I had several requests for Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A+M dresses, and once I got started on these, I could see why! Almost every single dress out there for these three schools have the school name or logo splattered across them. What about the girls who want to wear a cute dress that doesn't look cheap? There is a serious need for Game Day dresses in these three markets!

The Week Ahead

I cannot believe I haven't posted in two weeks! Slack, much?

I have been so busy the past couple of weeks, but am determined to make time to blog no matter how busy I get. No more excuses!

Coming up this week: more SEC Game Day dresses; some Texas, Texas A+M, and Oklahoma dresses per request; Tailgating recipes; and Tailgating Essentials.

And ladies, get ready! We are less than TWO weeks away from kickoff! I will be doing a Game Day link-up every week during football season, and would love your input. Would y'all rather do a link-up on Fridays about the games, dresses, tailgating recipes, etc. that you'll be doing on Saturday, or would you rather do the link-up on Mondays about the Saturday before?

Friday Five: This Week...

...My beloved Georgia Theatre has re-opened. Last summer, a fire ripped through, completely gutting it.

Anyone who has spent time in Athens has undoubtedly been here. I can't even begin to recount the shows and memories I have here of my days in Athens, and it does this Bulldog girl's heart good to know that it's back. I can't wait to get back to Athens (in a month!!) and see it for myself. 

...I *will* be cleaning out my inbox. This means I will finally be responding to those emails that have been sitting there for days/weeks. I have the worst habit of reading emails on my phone and then not replying for days. If you've sent me any sort of message, I promise the response is coming this weekend!

...I decided to do a link-up for football season! What type of link-up would y'all like to see/participate in? 

...I ran across this Big Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo at CVS. I regularly use the BSH products, but have never tried the dry shampoo. I am thinking about going back to get it this weekend. Has anyone ever tried it?
